Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18, 1985, located in Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed a flair for athletics early on discovering her talent for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school and subsequently signed an agreement for Adidas. In 2004 she began her studies at an institution called the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. The youngest winner of the 200-meter race during the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005. She defended her title once again in 2007, by beating long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top 3 in her various events at the Olympics which took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
